OUR STORY

The sleep cabins and guesthouse are situated on a former grazing property which we have owned since 2004. If you look closely, you will see a lot of recycled and repurposed materials that have been used in their construction. Corrugated iron and timber from a former packing shed in Glen Aplin, windows from the Stanthorpe Catholic convent and original flooring from the squash courts in Brisbane. We take our business name Cannon Creek from Cannon Creek Road which in turn relates to a land owner from the late 1800's during the tin mining days. We started with a scrubby block. From the house to the garden everything has been created and built by us. For over a decade with family and friends, we have experienced star filled nights, the four seasons, fine food, wine and festivals, the beauty of National parks and discovering local wildflowers and birdlife on our doorstop. We look forward to our guests sharing these unique experiences on the Granite Belt! - Michael & Heather
